PREPARATION OF THIS MEDICATED GHEE

Panchatikta Guggulu Gritha is prepared by infusing 5 exotic ayurvedic herbs with a plethora of medicinal properties in Ghee and Guggulu. The five major ingredients are:-

Neem

Patola

Kantakari

Vasaka and

Guduchi

The extracts from these five herbs are powdered and mixed in equal proportion. Water is added to it, 8 times the quantity of the combined mixture.  This is heated to make a decoction which will be one-ninth of the original volume of the contents.

Shudha Guggulu extracts and Cow’s Ghee are mixed in a 1:3 ratio. This is mixed with the earlier decoction in such a way that three fourth of the mixture is made up of the decoction. This is heated and fermented to get a thick mixture. Immunity boosting spices like the variety of Peppers and Pippalis, Ginger extracts, Triphala powder, etc. are added to this to improve the goodness in the product.

It is converted to tablet form by some manufacturers.

DOSAGE

It is recommended to consume up to 12 grams of this medicine one or two times a day for relief.
